Mission and Organization of RP
The RP Mission
The RP Organization
RP strives to help people help themselves with concerns pertaining to
various perspectives of life that cause negative stress (Distress).  Many
of the perspectives are those dynamics in society that change daily and
are not managed effectively.  These changes leave people in search of
current trends and ideas that will improve their careers, relationships,
personal growth, and most of all deal with the harmful affects of stress.
We promote a professional learning experience that anticipates the
improvement and empowerment that people are in search of that can
be developed in various areas of life.  This mission is practiced by
organizing various events in the form of workshops, groups,
mini-seminars, and community service functions.
Resourceful Presentations was founded January 2006 in Huntsville,
Alabama by Sherritta Hughes.  After several years of business
planning and research on information in areas of mental health for
everyday citizens of the community, it was recognized that there was a
lacking in resources being provided to everyday people.  A decision was
made to become an active resource of knowledge in various areas of
mental health, physical well being, cultural diversity, current societal
trends, family, and community all as they relate to STRESS.

Sherritta Hughes obtained a Baccalaureate degree in Psychology with
a concentration in research, learning, and clinical applications from the
great collegiate institution Morgan State University located in
Baltimore, Maryland.  She also earned a Masters degree in Clinical
Psychology from Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University
located in Huntsville, Alabama.  Sherritta Hughes is a member of Psi
Chi, the National Honor’s Society for Psychology and has been active in
the community for over 15 years.  Considering herself a Community
Organizer, Sherritta continues to work with various families and
children that need help, volunteering as tutor, providing information
on available community resources, and specializing in Stress.  In 2005
and 2006, Sherritta dedicated herself to the persons who experienced
Hurricane Katrina as a Crisis Counselor and is currently a School
Therapist.

Therefore, the RP practice is to promote an awareness of available
resources concerning stress and how it is vitally connected to mental
and physical health. When you attend one of our workshops, groups,
mini-seminars, and/or community events you will receive professional
consultation in a comfortable setting, tangible take-home materials
constructed for your convenience, and the opportunity to network with
others in search of similar knowledge in a professional setting.
